Minimum Order Lead Times

Truck or Intermodal, all locations 5 working days
Rail Shipping, all plants 10 working days (special order railcars may take longer)

Purchase Orders (POs) will be confirmed, and a release number will be issued within two days of receipt. If NJFC is unable to confirm within two days, we’ll let you know. If a revised PO is required, the lead time begins upon receipt of the corrected PO. POs with demand dates sooner than our Minimum Order Lead Time may be subject to applicable Rush/OT Fees. (See Purchase Order Policy or our New Customer Handbook for PO requirements.).

NJFC Pallet Exchange Policy

All US-based Forward Distribution Centers do not require pallet exchange. All US-based, plant direct sales are on a pallet exchange basis and require that your carrier has pallets, Com-Check, T-Check, or we must have received a revised Purchase Order at the time of pick-up*.

Pallets may not be returned at a later date for credit. The pallets that are being exchanged must meet a minimum of GMA #1 pallet specifications and be in good condition. We reserve the right to reject pallets that do not meet our criteria.

All Canadian warehouses ship on CHEP pallets. The Neil Jones Food Company will not be responsible for any freight or detention charges related to failure to comply with this policy.

*Customers that do not honor pallet charges on revised POs will be required to pay at time of pick up if pallets are not exchanged. Product will not be released to the carrier until this condition is met.

Canadian Warehouses $35.00 CAD per pallet (applies if customer does not have CHEP account)
